A Better Way To Add The Connections
Note: in order to run the simulation referred to in this slide, go here, to the Java Applet version. You will be directed to download the latest version of the Java plug-in.
Indeed, there are ways to distribute the four connections so that neither of the nodes ends up being choked with a barrage of correspondence. In the simulation to your left, we staggered the lowest-tier nodes for visual clarity, and then connected some of them together to provide relief for the inconsistency-plagued organization.
Run the simulation to convince yourself of our strategy's healing properties. The paths chosen for information transfer tend to stay short, and no node is singled out as the central data-processing hub. The congestion we saw in the previous slides is thus successfully avoided, and our company maintains a respectable overall output.
